Ouch

Um, don't go boozing with your friends directly after calss without dinner. The ramifications are downright ugly. Also, I have reached new levels of capacity with regards to putting my foot in my mouth.

Hippies

Whatown: It is good!

Hippies like my old roommate are cool cause they just get fucked up, don't really give a damn about anything, vote for teh dems and don't really bitch if they get beat or rub it in if they win. Stupid moron hippies like the one on nobrainers page piss me off. They should all be forced to Canada to live with the Baldwins and watch Michael, I am making a sequel to Farenheit 9/11 Moore. You heard he is going to do this jsut in time to elect Hillary in 2008, but may not finish it due to being an enourmous fat ass who is going to keel over from a coronary. When it happens, I probably won't even read the news articles praising his brilliance because Hollywood is just another big business and without Republican supprt of big busniess would be bankrupt. Stupid liberals and hippies go hug a tree and get out of my way.

It is good!

Whatown: This week

OK, so I wnet from a crappy ass week in which some thought I was going to blow a gasket (nobrainer, rochford) to having a pretty good one. I have eaten at no less than 3 places since Friday that I would be hard pressed to visit without guaranteed action, non of which I have had to pay for. To top it off, there was none of this cheapest item and tea stuff either...I'm talking 4 course with wine, mixed drinks etc, andI have paid for squat...FANTASTIC! Got my October breakout, things are looking up for my first quarter out..talk to me when that first full quarter breakout comes through though. If I look pissed, refer to previous blogs and move on. The women situation is still spinning its wheels into complete futility, no dreaded phone calls and no bright spots on the opposite end to provoke them (either you understand or you don't). At the rate I am going, I will need new tires in about, well, yeah, tomorrow. Anyone know of options worth a damn? Now for the kicker. We beat Miami. How may you ask, well lets see. I saw some short passes, I saw a running back who knew how to put his head down and grind out some yards, and I saw a defense who was allowed to rest because to offense was actually able to get consecutive first downs. Anyone out there see a pattern developing or remember any previous bitching about this subject? Ok, thats all for now. I have parties to attend this weekend, and itf that falls through a Duke game in which I am being taunted to attend. Less because Iam such a smart and energetic fan but because some attending has to be drunker than nobrainer and I tend to hold that prestigious title 99% of the time. If you keep bitching at me, I may just fold, but no guarantees.

This week

Whatown: Whatown

So this week sucked. Highlight: Bush wins an election taht should never have been close. Beating a man that came nothing short of promising every homo a wedding while preaching his Catholic beliefs. Damn, what fine moral fiber, how could we let someone who speaks so eloquently from both sides of his mouth not get elected (wink, wink, nod, nod). Thank god, we prevent those who crank out babbies and collect welfare from living as good a lifestyle as those of us that, well, work until at least 2008 when the Hillary train leaves the office. All she needs to do is change races and we will have the first female, gay (don't deny she doesn't do a little carpet cleaning from time to time), and minority president all in one fail swoop. Well totop it all of, I found out I will probably get shafted out of half the money I thought I was going to make on commission, factories botched more orders this week than new orders I can get to fill in the gap, my E-Biz prof ask my opnion only so he can tell me I am wrong (don't f'ing ask if that is your auto-response), my prof from the first half of the same class gave me a 90 for attendance (never missed, even went to campus instead of uptown on the week I thought I was going to miss) instead of a 100 and now I lost my A, and my one bright spot had to cancel due to catching crap from snot nosed little brats, literally. At least my parents are coming to town. Prevents total reckless abandon resembling a trainwreck with a bottle of JD in hand. Good food will be in my belly both nights though and hopefully crap gets back on track next week and the chasm to hell is clsoed off at least until I make the dreaded phone call I am going to have to make at some point. Woooo hooooo ( and not that queer little thing some football fnas have started doing) doesn't it sound like fun kiddies!

Uh Oh

Whatown

Okay, so we threw the short pass, and a lot of slants. Did you notice how Charlie had decent stats, 1TD, NO PICKS, 186 yards, on just shy of 50% passing. The key was no picks. Did you also notice how Currie ran the first one for about 45 additional Y.A.C. and from then on the safetites were taken out of the blitz package and the linebackers were forced to delay? It amazing what happens when you go back to the bread and butter that beat up the second half of last years schedule. Unfortunately we have the 'Canes in their house after the UNC debacle. Charlie doesn't have the wheels of Durant up the middle and Coleman would rather put his ballett shoes on than put his pads down when a hole opens up. Time for a wrinkle with Stuckey at QB? Just a suggestion because the Miller thing needs to be kept on D and special teams. We better hope they don't get better injury wise or we are going to be in for it. We go 2 of the next 3 and we get to ski in Idaho, or low and behold, play in the Tire bowl in my back yard. Woo Hoo!

Clemson Mediocrity

Whatown

So Saturday was the essence of Tommy West football. I am glad we are running our team with with all the offensive efficiencies of 1996. Does anyone else think that Rodriquez may have been the magic behind the offense? I think the mathmagicians in any stat room will tell you that. They will also tell you that Charlie needs to either get out of the wieght room and get his touch back, or quit getting juiced up before games. Our receivers don't have Manbute Bol height and the safeties don't have to do anything special to keep the play 15 yards ahead of them and wait for the ball to come sailing their way. While I have this sopa box out and stand firmly on top of it: What ever happened to the slant and/or drag routes? Anyone remember West ball when we would run him 5 yards across the middle on 3rd and 7. Not that it was a good call in those days, cause the man is lucky to still have a head, but throwing those short quick routes tend to freeze linebackers for that extra second it takes to drop back and make pass. 2 seconds in the pocket without scrambling won't exactly cut it when all the receivers are running 15-25 yard routes. If you want to see what I am talking about, catch some UT clips with receivers like Peerless Price from the mid '90's. It amazing what someone with speed (Currie, Stucky) can do when they catch the ball at full speed out of the slot, running perpendicular to the safety and behind the linebackers. I have seen more 10 yard first downs and 65 yard busted coverage TD's out of this play then any of this drop it in a bucket on the sideline for 45 yard crap. I could set up a Greek Bowl defense to stop what we have been bringing at teams.

Whatown

Whatown

Why are we forced to work on Friday's? I mena really, we come in, pray the boss is either off, or leaving early. Any man between the ages of 22 and 60 is probably spending half his time on ESPN.com. There is no point. We should all just meet for lunch about 12:30 at the local BBQ join, go ahead with the Monday meeting then. Knock back a cold one since no one is going back to the office and call it a week. Wouldn't this also allow us to be productive on Monday's when everyone else is in meetings and the phones aren't ringing? Ok, I better get back to making my college football picks, I mean work.
