Day 3

Went to the pool. Missed the sun by about an hour I think. Damn weather. Did see Revenge of the Sith. Quality entertainment, awesome graphics, really tied up all the loose ends. Some of the Padme/Anakin dialog/scenes were weak, but we have come to expect that out of the new movies. Went down town and had dinner and watched the race and the Heat/Pistons game, called it a night. Boat is at the shop getting a tune up and it is raining here today. Guessin' day 4 has me ending up doing some work or at the office. Hopefully blue spandex will be at the gym when Poot and I venture that way but as this weekends luck would have it, I am not holding my breath.

Day 2

The futlity continues. We (I mainly for a change) made major ehad way cleaning the apartment. It is worth yof company, which we had last night. A chic even slept in my bed. Now the kicker, the chic was Jessie and I slept on the couch. I volunteered so it was cool. We all drank a fair amount and Poot and I didn't tlak to any women we didn't know. Cash expenditure wasn't too bad for a change so that was good. Hopefully we actually make the pool and the luck turns around on the back end of this weekend.

Day 1

So I am up and at my computer at 10. I have been up since 8:30 though, on my own cognisance. Drove back from Del's a little bit ago. Would have come on home last night but the overlap between savely sober and awake missed each other by about 30 minutes last night. The evening out was a cluster F$%* Every place was a sausage party and too crowded. We didn't stay in one spot long enough to let the odds of a group of fine ladies meander in our general direction. I have learned this leason before so my frustration watching it unfold and doing nothing about it last night increased. Taht and Why the hell did I have to be the good guy and leave the Three Doors Down show. I actually wanted to see that and the odds of talking to people would have been greatly increased. Thank god we get an extra going out night this weekend. Maybe I can still salvage something. Well, the pool beckons shortly!

Holiday Weekend

So I get to knock off whenever I feel like it this afternoon, well, any time after three. We reloaded the JAck Supply. We are on the home stretch and I have a sneaking suspession number 17 will hit the shelf over the weekend. Unfortunately, the Meck County ABC stores are closed Monday. Probably a good idea, we will need to recover at some point. It is Speed Street here. for those not in the know, this means that the main drag downtown is closed off for 4 days. They have lots of food and junk vendors, NASCAR display cars (actual scale) and three differnt stages with Live Music. Last night we got to the Boys 2 Men stage just after they closed with Motown Philly. We were PISSED. The hot chics we met up with had a bit of drunk girl drama, so that screwed that up. tonight Blue Dogs are ona at 8:30 and Three Doors Down, Jo Dee Messina and .38 Special all hit their respective stages between 10 and 10:30. Note three bog acts at one time. They have stages on each end and one in the center at the heart of town in the Trade and Tryon street intersection. Tomorrow, Styx and Charlie Daniels Band are on for the late shows. They also have some Hootie Cover Band, The American Idol Finalist and Outkast's back up band. Throw all this together with all the NASCAR fan base you can handle and things get interesting. Lots of women in skimpy clothes will abound. Some will be fun to look at, others will make us wish we were blind. We are leading off tonight with poker, pizza, and drinks before our cabs arrive. I see quite a bit of pool time instore for the days. Hopefully I won't be able to disappear against a white wall after this weekend. Hopefully I will have some kick ass stories but if last night was an indicator this could be a bottle rocket kind of weekend. At least I'll be able to sleep late, unless I can manage to get someone to wake me for better options.

Another one bites the dust

Another one's down, another one's gone, another one bites the dust. Not my friends, we already know about them. They just want to see how many pounds of metal I get to carry around for my bachelor party. I'm talking about handles of Jack, duh! 16 on the shelf. We are on the home stretch. 18 by mid August is weak. 24 is stronger than can be expected. We have plenty of pool time but the boat is back in town and drinking and dirving, much less boating is BAD! It will be interesting to see how things shake out. Anyone wanna place odds on which of the two we hit or have an alterante number?

Blur

What an incredible weekend. When I get an hour or so, I will sit down and blog out each day. For the regulars, you know a weekend like this means I will have gaps in knowledge and would love to know what happened in my absence (physically and/or mentally). If there are parts of this you know I will forget go ahead and let us all know. I will incorporate them into the future full length postings.

Congrats to Brad and Lauren!

Wedding Weather Forecast

THURSDAY
Highs are projected to be in the mid 80's for the wedding party arrival on Thursday afternoon. Thursday's low for those tying Brad to the pier will be 65 with a slight breeze off the water. Don't expect to notice.

FRIDAY
Friday's free-for-all activities will be conducted under partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the low 80's. Expect this to be the temperature when you finally make an exit from your rooms during/post hangover. Chance of rain 20%, but don't be shocked if a thunderstorm is brewing just in time for the downtown excursion for those attending the Rehearsal Dinner. For those who will be partaking in the beach or other outdoor activities Friday afternoon, remember to bring your extra strength sun screen. 30 is highly recommended for those of you with lighter complexions. UV indexes will be 8 and above. Wedding pictures are much more flattering when you are not red as a beat. Don't be 50 and look back at the pictures with a grimace when you are visiting Brad and Lauren in the distant future. The low will be a balmy 65 but expect temperatures in the mid to low 70's with a breeze for the conclusion of the dinner and any activities for the less faint of heart as we will already be downtown.

SATURDAY
Saturday looks to be a repeat of Friday. Expect temperatures around 70 for your morning tee times. Remember that the sun is at its most potent midday so anyone golfing or involved in outdoor activities prior to the wedding, needs to remember our comments about sunscreen on Friday. Expect temperatures to again be around 82 for the wedding. Those in tuxes for an extended period of time may want to bring extra deodorant and a wet nap for the post picture/pre ceremony break in action. Lows again look to be in mid 60's, with temperatures hovering around 70 for any crazy folks who still want to go downtown, post reception. Again, don't be shocked if a thunderstorm pops up. If it does, this could be a bad sign for other reasons.

SUNDAY
Get out of town and let them head off on their honeymoon, you bums. Their parents have seen enough of you anyway. Expect temperatures somewhere in the 70's as you leave, depending on how crazy you were the night before. Get out soon, afternoon thunderstorms are imminent.

This weekend's weather forecast was brought to you in part by Meteorologist in Training (Wha), Weather.com, and the "I'm bored at work and can't wait to leave for Charleston Association."

Good Day!

I sent the above out to everyone I knew was going that was alreayd on a list. I really think that if there is a business where they let me plan social events and forecast the weather, I am missing my true calling.

Good Weekend

Friday night, quite a blur but I did take a nice little pot playing Hold Em, then spent it all on beer at a local watering hole. Thank Jack for the blurriness. I spent Saturday by the pool with Skippy and a 12 pack of Corona's, staring at several attractive women, all with big rocks on their fingers. We have decided most women care little about the quality of the rock and much more about the size as they caught our eye sheerly by their size and not at all by the glimmer. Today was spent in the best weather of '05 watching absolutely awesome golf. I easily watched 3/4 of the weekend field finish the 16th and play the entire 17th without moving more than 10 feet over the course of 4 hours. This doesn't include the last three holes with Sergio, Furyk and Slurpy and all the playoff golf that followed. A bad day on the course beats a good day at the office. I beautiful day watching top pro golf in person, being within arms reach of the biggest names on tour, getting a little TV time in the gallery, and not having the frustrations of you own game...that's the stuff we write about in utter giddiness.
