Recipes

Well, as I taunted some of you with my cooking ability and Agent Orange is trying to one up me, I figure I would share with he and the rest of you some traditional Whatonese fair.

Sausage Balls:

One cup of Bisquick (comes in handy pouch)
One Pound of Jimmy Dean Hot Sausage
3 Cups of Shard Cheddar Cheese (I use kraft like a good kid)

Mix all this at once, thoroughly, in an oversized bowl, it makes a mess. If you have an abundance of bisquick on the outside of the large mass, you haven't mixed well enough.
Roll into quarter sized balls and place about 1" apart, or slightly less on a pre greased/Pammed cookie pan with sides (you don't want a grease fire)

Cook at 425 for 5 minutes, turn and cook and additional 5-6 minutes or until sausage appears cooked (brown)

Remove and let cool for a moment then place on several paper towels to drain the grease. Makes about 4 dozen

Recipe can be increased as you wish and according to available bowl and pans.

Pepperoni Rolls:

Sticks of pepperonni (this recipe will be based on the 4" Hormel sticks found in the prepacked lunch meat section of your local grocer).
Pillsbury Grands Biscuits (not the flaky ones)
Spray butter

Biscuits typically come 4 or 8 in a can. Make a batch accoridingly so that ingredients balance out.

Cut pepperoni into 1/6th of the stick (for other stick sizes, peice should be about 4" long and about the size of a mans thumb)
Spray both side of biscuit with butter and flatten out like you are making a mini pizza.
Wrap pepperoni with biscuit and place on a pre greased pan. Be sure to place the part where the biscuit is connect to itself down on the pan to prevent the "roll" from splitting when cooked.

Cook in pre heated oven according to the biscuit directions.

Both can be and are better reheated in the microwave. 25sec/ 5 sausage balls or one pepperoni roll.

I admit these are all excellent recipes that I enjoyed around Christmas every year as we prepared for finals in Engineering.
